“This workshop was extremely valuable for developing craft and bringing my story closer to publication. I gained a clear understanding of how to fix problem areas, and refine areas
I had thought were ‘perfect.’ Outstanding faculty and peers.” — Elizabeth Fais, alum

Greetings!

Our programs will resume on various dates in 2026. We welcome your inquiry at any time. Applications, dates, and fees will be included in our response.

To inquire, send a message to project.oasis4youth at gmail dot com (no spaces) with the following information:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Age of potential participant, if under 22
  • Which online program(s) are you inquiring about?
    • PCCWW: Pacific Coast Children’s Writers Workshop (adults)
    • TNW: TeenSpeak Novel Workshop (ages 12 to 22; part of PCCWW)
    • TSC: TeenSpeak Critiques (adult novelists, paid adolescent reader

PCCWW is open to experienced writers who have completed (or nearly completed) a polished draft of a novel for ages 10 to 18.Includes manuscript feedback from an editor or literary agent, and possibly a target-age reader in our concurrent TNW.

TNW, integrated with PCCWW, is for youth interested in discussing adults’ as-yet-unpublished novels with literary agents and editors, as well as receiving feedback on their own fiction—envisioned or in progress. Non-writing bookworms also welcome!

TSC gives adult writers target-audience feedback on chapters, or possibly on a whole novel. Youth critiquing adults’ fiction receive editing guidelines, and are paid through our service by the authors.

Teen writers and/or readers: What type of fiction do you like? Adult writers: If you’d like to submit a novel manuscript, describe your story, including title, genre (e.g., realistic, fantasy, historical), core plot (maximum 75 words), target age of readers, and your background in writing fiction for youth (e.g., published, agented, have an MFA in writing youth fiction and/or professional critiques on the manuscript you’d submit to us).

Thanks for your inquiry. A response will usually be sent within two days. We look forward to hearing from you!

forgets one’s companion, forgets where one is
